Aloha Philosophy - March 2010

Last night I went to a talk by Jacqui Storm on the Aloha Philosophy which is:

The World is what you think it is-  If you think of the World as beautiful then it is, if you think of it as horrible then it will be so. The choice is yours.

There are no limits - Be free and do whatever you choose to do. If you really want to do something you will can make it happen.

Energy flows where attention goes - If you wish to focus on the positive things of an individual this will be multiplied, if you wish to focus on the negative things, then these get compounded.

Now is the moment of power - Be here and now, be aware of what is happening at this moment.

To love is to be happy - I really enjoyed the exercise for this one.  We paired up and had to compliment each other for 2 minutes. The energy really changed and everyone was laughing and smiling.

All power comes from within - Be confident in all that you do.

Effectiveness is the measure of truth.

Be positive.

Talk on Reiki for Dystonia, Bristol - 5th April 2009

Yesterday I did my first talk on Reiki.   Usually I work on a one to one basis and have always had a fear of talking to groups larger than 5. I decided to embrace my fear (as I needed to practice what I preach and I knew that the fear of doing it would be worse than actually speaking).

So I prepared my speech, I am so passionate about the subject and felt honoured I was able to talk about Reiki to people who may benefit from it.  Hopefully I will also get an article in the Dystonia Newsletter.

Crystal therapist - Neil, Bristol - Dec 19, 2007

I have just been for crystal healing in Bristol with Neil.  After a consultation you lie on the couch and he places various crystals around you.  He then works to cleanse your chakras and aura.

It was amazing after i left I felt great, my body was light and my insides felt clear.
The best bit is that he offers this for free! all you need to do is bring a crystal along for him to give to another client and if you feel you want to pay then he also takes lottery tickets.  Neil - 07814 658 791

Massage on mind body and spirit with Jacqui Jarosy -  Oct 14, 2007

Yesterday I had a wonderful massage with Jacqui, although I would say this was more of a journey.  As she is massaging she talks about issues in your life and how your body holds on to any negative energy created by these issues. These issues which left untreated can manifest in aches and pains (The same principles as Reiki).   The issues I thought I had cleared out were still around and Jaqui helped me start to work through these.

I liked the way Jacqui worked as she talks about listening to your OWN body and going with what feels right for you. I shall be trying out one of her yoga classes.

Conclusion: I would highly recommend Jacqui as a massuse!

I found this on Jacqui's website: - The secret of change is not trying not to do something, but simply to practise doing something else. The old habit will fall away from non-use. We are creatures of habit which we create and can change - not through rigid ‘rights’ or ‘wrongs’ but with allowing of our humanness and gentleness to our past habits that were appropriate at the time. Remember your body is always changing moment to moment and so change is natural to your body.
