What is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced "Raykey") comes from the words Rei (universal) and Ki (life energy)
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If your "life force energy" is low, then you are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, you feel happy and healthy.
Reiki works on many levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It aims to balance and harmonise the body.
Is Reiki a religion?
Reiki is not a religion and is not dependent on belief at all. It will work whether you believe in it or not.
